Job summary

Kroger is seeking a customer-focused cashier/checker at our Everett, WA location. You will greet customers, assist with questions, and process transactions at the checkout quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities include operating the POS, handling cash and other tender types, adhering to loss-prevention policies, and staying current with ads and promotions while maintaining safety and courtesy at all times.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle transactions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers to create an outstanding experience.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand and operate the POS system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, coupons and loyalty offers.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention policies.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and stay up-to-date with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures, and report hazards.
• Provide product knowledge and assistance to customers within the store.
