Job summary

Schnuck Markets, Inc. is seeking a friendly and reliable Cashier/Customer Service Associate at our St. Louis-area Schnucks location.

You will greet customers, ring up purchases accurately, process coupons, and handle cash, debit, credit, EBT and other payment options. The role requires dependable attendance and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds while standing for 4–8 hours. Training is provided at store level, and all associates participate in maintaining cash security and great customer

Qualifications

Customer service oriented with ability to greet customers.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for 4–8 hours.
Regular, reliable attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
Greet customers prior to checking their order.
Check out customer’s purchases accurately.
Identify and know produce items and be able to properly use produce and product codes.
Distinguish between manufacturer coupons and Schnucks coupons.
Process manufacturer coupons.
Collect correct amount due from customer.
Use proper procedure of accepting cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards, EBT cards, WIC vouchers and other payment options.
Complete register record accurately.
Practice and maintain cash security.
Bag customer orders.
Change register receipt and coupon machine tapes.
Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management.
