Job summary

South Louisiana Bank in Houma, LA is seeking a Full-Time Teller at our Westside Houma Location. The role requires customer service excellence, cash handling, and basic computer/clerical skills.

You will balance cash drawers, accept deposits, process payments, and support collections with a team-focused approach. Hours are Monday–Thursday 9:15am–6:00pm, Fridays 9:00am–6:00pm, with alternating Saturdays 8:45am–12pm.

Qualifications

• High school education.
• Computer, clerical and calculator skills required.
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
• Teller or cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and serve customers; process mail-in work and night deposits.
• Sell bank products.
• Maintain and balance a cash drawer; verify money and roll coin.
• Receive commercial and individual deposits; accept checks for cashing or paying.
• Receive savings and club deposits; pay withdrawals; prepare related paperwork.
• Assist with incoming and outgoing collections and items in transit.
• Sell Money Orders.
• Receive loan payments.
• Cross-train for collections processing and ATM balancing.
• Receive U.S. Savings bonds for payment.
• Receive utility payments.
• Perform routine clerical duties in department and other duties as assigned.
