Join Team Synchrony

Acts as a liaison between customers and the pharmacy, assisting with complaints, orders, errors, account questions, billing, and other queries.

Hours vary - 2nd shift - not a remote position

Responsibilities
  1. Provides customer service and resolves issues.
  2. Partners with the pharmacy to obtain necessary prescriptions for controlled drugs.
  3. Resolves rejections, denials, and prior authorizations associated with Medicaid, Medicare D, or private insurance claims.
  4. Connects with prospective patients for onboarding and assists with follow-up and inquiries as directed by the Pharmacist in Charge.
  5. Serves as communication liaison regarding medication or resident coverage issues with directors, pharmacists, physicians, and insurance plans.
  6. Provides training to staff to ensure performance standards and cross-functional awareness.
  7. Maintains confidentiality of all patient and employee information.
  8. Assists with special projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Kentucky Pharmacy Technician Registration or eligibility.

Experience

  • At least 1 year of pharmacy customer service experience; healthcare, senior living, pharmacy, or long-term care preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year multi-facility experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
