Responsibilities

The role acts as a liaison between customers and the pharmacy, assisting with complaints, orders, errors, account questions, billing, and other inquiries.

Hours vary - 2nd shift - not a remote position

Key duties include:

  1. Providing customer service and issue resolution.
  2. Partnering with the pharmacy to obtain necessary prescriptions for controlled drugs.
  3. Resolving rejections, denials, and prior authorizations associated with Medicaid, Medicare D, or private insurance claims.
  4. Connecting with prospective patients for onboarding and assisting with follow-up and inquiries as directed by the Pharmacist in Charge.
  5. Serving as a communication liaison regarding medication or resident coverage issues with executives, pharmacists, responsible parties, physicians, and insurance plans.
  6. Training staff to ensure performance aligns with company standards and expectations, including cross-functional skills.
  7. Maintaining confidentiality of all patient and employee information to protect rights.
  8. Assisting with special projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Kentucky Pharmacy Technician Registration or eligibility.

Experience

  • At least one (1) year of pharmacy customer service experience; healthcare, senior living, pharmacy, or long-term care experience preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year of multi-facility experience preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
