Position Overview

As a Customer Care Advocate, you will deliver top-tier customer service to our agency partners, policyholders, and other stakeholders. Responsibilities include answering inquiries, providing solutions, and assisting with policy changes. You need excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to investigate policies, gather details, and communicate outcomes based on procedures and guidelines. You will use computerized systems for risk evaluation and data analysis. A successful candidate is passionate about customer service, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes ownership of their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide first-line customer service for policy servicing using call center best practices.
  2. Initiate renewal, new business, and endorsement processes to assess insurability and compliance.
  3. Handle billing transactions, accept payments, and communicate account statuses.
  4. Prepare policy files for underwriting, gather information, and perform preliminary risk evaluations.
  5. Interpret policies, manuals, forms, and endorsements to ensure proper understanding and action.
  6. Ensure underwriting referral criteria are met and analyze data for policy decisions.
  7. Make decisions to enhance customer experience by providing options, including new quotes if needed.
  8. Work within authority limits and refer complex inquiries to supervisors.
  9. Maintain compliance with quality, productivity, and regulatory standards, safeguarding sensitive information.
  10. Build professional relationships with customers and team members, promoting a positive environment.
  11. Adhere to company policies and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  12. Be receptive to feedback for ongoing performance and development.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Customer service experience in demanding environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Math skills for manual calculations and communication.
  • Effective organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
