Job summary

Bay Laurel Center CDD is seeking an on-site Utility Billing and Customer Solutions Specialist to handle billing, payments, and service applications. You will process monthly statements, run daily bank activities, and maintain customer accounts with accuracy.

The role requires strong data entry and communication skills, plus experience with cash handling and customer service in a fast-paced environment. Training and advancement opportunities are provided within the utility team.

Qualifications

• Accredited high school diploma or equivalency.
• Valid Florida driver’s license.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Previous customer service experience preferred (utility experience a plus).
• Cash handling/banking or accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes monthly utility statements.
• Accurately processes utility payments and deposits.
• Daily bank runs.
• Reviews overdue accounts and prepares collections correspondence.
• Maintains customer accounts and files; prepares reports.
• Monitors meter inventory and processes invoices and purchase orders.
• Processes daily work orders and new meter installations/replacements.

MAJOR FUNCTIONSThis is a front-line administrative position that provides basic and semi-complex accounting and/or utility billing functions.
