Job summary

Middlesex Savings Bank is seeking a Banker I to represent the bank, promote its values, and assist customers with a wide range of transactions. The role emphasizes customer experience, operational excellence, and accurate, compliant service.

The Banker I will develop customer relationships, open accounts, handle basic treasury tasks, and support teammates to achieve performance goals. Flexibility for extended hours and weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Some college preferred.
• 6–12 months teller or similar customer service experience within banking; or a recent graduate of the Banker Trainee Program is required.
• Must attain designation of Notary Public within 6 months (required).

Responsibilities

• Develops an understanding of customers’ needs and offers products and services that address those needs and expectations.
• Develops new business by establishing and growing customer relationships, including utilization of business partners as appropriate.
• Proficient in teller transactions, opening of personal accounts, basic business accounts, and domestic wire transfers.
• Ensures quality and accuracy of work and stays informed of alerts and company communications.
• Performs duties in compliance with risk, security, and policy guidelines; maintains regulatory compliance.
• Works as an engaged member of the branch team, supports supervisors and contributes to a positive work environment.
• Makes decisions in alignment with Bank policies and risks, and escalates fraud signs when needed.
• Performs other duties to provide high service levels to customers and co-workers.
