Job summary

The Universal Banker is an entry level position at Citigroup Inc. in San Francisco, designed to assist in sales, products and service activities in coordination with the customer service team.

The role aims to build customer loyalty and help increase sales to individual clients. Responsibilities include assisting with basic account openings, resolving service issues, processing transactions, and supporting branch activities.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience required.
• Previous retail banking or similar experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic account opening for existing customers.
• Provide service delivery to resolve account service issues.
• Execute financial transactions per bank policies and procedures.
• Refer opportunities to segment partners where appropriate.
• Create sales opportunities from service transactions and resolve customer complaints/issues promptly and effectively.
• Support sales activities in the branch through seminars, micromarketing events, promotional campaigns, product initiatives, etc.
• Adhere to operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures to ensure the safety and security of customer and bank assets.
• Assess risk and ensure ethical conduct and compliance in line with firm policies.
