Job description

Join to apply for the Customer Account Specialist role at Sunrise Systems, Inc.

Person will sit remote, but it would be ideal if they are local so they can come onsite if needed.

Work shifts will be between 6:55am to 6:05pm Central.

40 hours per week, OT is allowed but not mandatory.

We have noticed from past hiring reviews that recent graduates or candidates without significant collections experience tend to perform best in this role. Candidates with extensive collections backgrounds often need to unlearn previous methods and may resist change. We seek recent college or high school graduates with good interpersonal and communication skills, and a willingness to learn.

As a Customer Support Specialist, you will support our delinquent customers across all products by identifying issues, educating, motivating, and taking action to resolve delinquent accounts while retaining customers.

In addition, you will:

  1. Use telephone negotiating techniques to build and maintain relationships.
  2. Review payment history and account information.
  3. Negotiate payment plan modifications according to policies and procedures.
  4. Administer collection efforts within federal and state regulations and company policies.
  5. Assist with account resolutions for misapplied cash and refer problem accounts to supervisors.

We need an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, who thrives on solving problems and working in a global team environment. A Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline is preferred.

We also require:

  1. Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service.
  2. Ability to remain seated for long periods to perform telephone work in a call center environment.
  3. Capacity to quickly switch focus on work activities.
  4. Strong computer aptitude with the ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge; familiar with mainframe and software applications.

A strong candidate will also have knowledge of negotiation techniques.
