Silgan Containers in Brookfield Center, CT seeks a Customer Account Specialist to assist with customer inquiries, order processing, forecasting, and account management. This on-site role requires eagerness to learn and growth within the company.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree with 1 year of experience or a high school diploma with 2+ years in customer service or inside sales, plus solid MS Office skills and strong communication.

• Associate degree and 1 year of work experience, or High School diploma and 2+ years of experience.
• Experience in customer service or inside sales is preferred.
• Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsabilités

• Listen to and acknowledge customer inquiries and requests; build and maintain strong relationships.
• Process orders, maintain forecasts, and assist product flow through the supply chain.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers for all matters.
• Problem-solve order fulfillment concerns and monitor accounts.
• Assist accounts payable/receivable teams to ensure on-time payments.

Silgan Containers seeks a Customer Account Specialist to assist with customer inquiries and service, including order processing and order management, forecasting, and customer account coordination and account management.

The ideal candidate will work on-site in the office 5 days per week, demonstrate eagerness to learn, and pursue opportunities to grow within the company.

What You’ll Do

You are Silgan’s voice to our customers, America’s most respected brands. Listen to and acknowledge customer inquiries and requests; communicate courteously and succinctly; and build and maintain strong customer relationships. Work with Silgan’s customers and our internal team to successfully identify current and future needs. Process orders, maintain forecasts, and assist the product flow through the supply chain from the warehouse to customers. You are the key point of contact, communicating effectively and proactively with internal and external customers for all matters. Problem-solve order fulfillment concerns. Organize, review, and report data. Monitor customer accounts. Help our accounts payable and accounts receivable teams ensure payments are made on time.

What You Bring

Associate degree and 1 year of work experience, or High School diploma and 2 or more years of experience. Experience should be in customer service or inside sales. Effective communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Passion for teamwork and achieving common goals. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
