Job summary

Billy Reid’s San Francisco Custom Showroom is hiring a Custom Stylist to guide clients through premium custom experiences. You will become a men’s and women's wear specialist, using training to develop client measurements, fabric knowledge, and tailoring expertise.

In this role, you will proactively build a book of clients, set appointments, and conduct wardrobe planning for both casual and professional looks, while managing the full custom journey from fabric choice to hand-crafted details.

Qualifications

• Direct sales experience with a customer-facing orientation in luxury or premium retail
• Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships and repeat clientele
• Excellent verbal and written communication; professional demeanor under pressure

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow a personal client book through proactive outreach and events
• Set appointments and conduct personalized wardrobe planning in showroom
• Guide clients through fabrics, customizations, and detailing to create one-of-a-kind garments
• Maintain ongoing relationships from first contact through delivery and repeat orders

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our San Francisco Custom Showroom is seeking a Custom Stylist who has a strong affinity to premium products and a love of working with people to guide clients through the custom experience. Our ideal candidate is someone who makes connections, builds relationships, and pursues opportunities

You will make an impact by:

• Becoming a men’s and womenswear specialist based on our training & development of client measurements, fabric knowledge, customizations, alterations, and sales psychology
• Proactively building a book of clients through different prospecting efforts (outreach, events, etc.) and building upon recurring client relationships
• Setting appointments and meeting with clients in our showrooms to conduct personalized wardrobe planning for both casual and professional looks
• Guiding clients through the custom experience, helping them choose fabrics, buttons, embroideries, and every detail that goes into hand crafting a one-of-a-kind custom garment
• Maintaining personal relationships with our clients from their first interaction through purchase, delivery and ongoing orders

• World class communication & interpersonal skills; written and verbal, handling yourself with confidence internally to peers and externally to clients

THE COMPENSATION

We believe in rewarding performance, entrepreneurial spirit, and exceptional client experience. This role offers a competitive base salary plus commission structure with strong earning potential for high-performing sales professionals.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $45,000 – $60,000 annually. This role is also eligible for commission and incentive compensation based on individual performance and business results.
