Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to patrol designated areas, monitor activities, and protect client property in Discovery Bay, CA. You will respond to incidents, prepare detailed reports, and assist staff and visitors with a professional, courteous demeanor.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in security or law enforcement is highly valued (military police, security, or related roles).
• Public Safety Academy graduation or verified related work experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in law enforcement/criminal justice is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols on foot or by vehicle.
• Observe for irregular or unsafe conditions and report them.
• Raise alarms or contact authorities as needed.
• Control access and monitor entrances/exits.
• Prepare written incident reports and maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously.
• Provide emergency notifications as required by site orders.
• Recommend improvements to security post orders and processes.
• Contribute to post-incident investigations and documentation.

Pay:

$21.90/Hr.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
• Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
• Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess one or more of the following
  • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
  • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
  • Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
  • A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
  • Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
• Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  *A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
• Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
