Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Custom Protection Officer (CPO) Flex Officer to conduct armed and/or unarmed patrols, control access, monitor CCTV and alarms across diverse assignments. The role may require irregular shifts with little notice, and the officer will support customers, employees, and visitors while upholding site post orders.

The pay rate is $21.17 per hour. Candidates should meet the required qualifications including a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant security or law

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy or verified law enforcement-related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies.
• Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice.
• Be at least 18 years of age; armed roles may require 21.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws; driver’s license may be required for driving positions.

Job Description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Custom Protection Officer (CPO) Flex Officer. The Custom Protection Officer Flex Officer will conduct armed and/or unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior). Additional duties include control access and egress; monitor CCTV and alarm systems; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. The Custom Protection Flex Officer will work at various assignments and may be called upon to work irregular shifts at times with little to no advance notice.

Now Hiring Security Officer - Custom Protection (CPO)

Pay Rate: $21.17 an hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
• Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
• Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess one or more of the following
• Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
• Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
• A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
• Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
• Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.*A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
• Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
