Job summary

US Foods in Lexington, NC is seeking a skilled meat cutter to prepare high quality cuts according to customer specifications. Work in a refrigerated environment (35°F–45°F) with knives, band saws, and other equipment, and maintain sanitary conditions.

Overtime may be required to finish tasks. The ideal candidate has at least one year of meat cutting experience, reads cut tickets accurately, and can perform basic math for portioning.

Qualifications

• Skilled as a specialty meat cutter using knives required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a meat cutter.
• Ability to read and understand customers’ specifications and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of USDA grades and standards.
• Familiarity with GMP and sanitary practices.

Responsibilities

• Trim and customize portions of meat products to customer specifications.
• Read cut tickets and label portions.
• Set up cutting room and maintain sanitation.
• Operate band saws and other meat production equipment.
• Overtime may be required to finish tasks.
