Job summary

Lumbermen’s in Cottage Grove, MN is seeking an assembly teammate to help assemble exterior doors. You will read orders, follow standard work instructions, and collaborate with warehouse and shipping to ensure timely delivery.

You should have carpentry experience, read blueprints, and be comfortable using power tools. Expect a safety-minded, team-oriented environment offering an ESOP, health coverage, a clothing allowance, 401(k), PTO and training.

POSITION SUMMARY

Located at our Cottage Grove, MN location, the person in this position would assist with assembly of exterior doors. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Assemble custom entry doors by following standard work instructions
• Work as a member of a team to Ensure proper quality, accuracy, and timeliness of assembly of exterior doors
• Work with warehouse and shipping associates making sure you have the right materials and entry door units are arriving in shipping on time
• Assisting in cleaning and maintenance of assigned work area
• Performing other tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor

This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Carpentry experience required
• Experience working with blueprints
• Experience with power tools

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Ability to accurately read orders and assembly to customer specifications

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift up to 75 lb
• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours/day
