Job summary

Lumbermens, located in Byron Center, MI, is seeking an assembly worker to assist with the production of exterior doors. This role involves assembling custom entry doors, ensuring quality and timeliness, and maintaining a clean workspace.

  • Assemble custom entry doors by following standard work instructions.
  • Work as a member of a team to ensure proper quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Ensure materials and entry door units are arriving in shipping on time.
  • Assist in cleaning and maintenance of assigned work area.
  • Perform tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor.

POSITION SUMMARY

Located at our Byron Center, MI location, the person in this position would assist with assembly of exterior doors. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Assemble custom entry doors by following standard work instructions
  • Work as a member of a team to ensure proper quality, accuracy, and timeliness of assembly of exterior doors
  • Work with warehouse and shipping associates making sure you have the right materials and entry door units are arriving in shipping on time
  • Assisting in cleaning and maintenance of assigned work area
  • Performing other tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor

This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma/GED required
  • Carpentry experience required
  • Experience working with blueprints
  • Experience with power tools
REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to accurately read orders and assembly to customer specifications
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lb
  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours/day
