Duravant is seeking a warehouse packaging operator responsible for building standard and custom wood crates and other packaging to safely ship products worldwide. Interpret drawings, prepare crates, and ensure shipments meet DOT regulations.

This role requires operating forklifts and hand tools, following safety procedures, and collaborating with other departments to verify packaging integrity. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; preferred two years' shipping experience.
• Experience with FEDEX, UPS, AIR, OCEAN, LTL and Contract carriers for domestic and international shipping.
• Must have or be able to obtain a forklift certificate and a valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Interpret blueprints and load plans to create crates.
• Operate hand and power tools to build crates per specs and DOT rules.
• Package, protect, and verify parts for safe delivery.
• Ship sales parts and machinery requiring specialized packaging.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure shipping safety.
• Maintain files and use company software to look up shipping tasks.
• May perform stockroom clerk duties.
• Operate forklift, bridges crane, saws, and use tools; document process on video.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
