Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in packaging, crating, shipping, warehousing or related fields preferred.
• Ability to read basic drawings, work orders, measurements, and packaging instructions.
• Experience using hand or power tools is desirable.
• Willingness to work second shift and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Build custom crates, boxes, pallets, and shipping containers per product specs.
• Measure products and packaging materials with tape measures and rulers.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and packaging instructions.
• Operate hands and power tools (saws, drills, nail guns, etc.).
• Cut lumber and other materials to required dimensions.
• Wrap and secure fragile/heavy items with cushioning materials.
• Install blocking/bracing to prevent movement during transport.
• Inspect products and packaging for damage and fit before shipment.
• Protect piping components from damage during handling and shipping.
• Assist with loading and securing packaged products for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety policies.
