Job summary

Malace|HR is seeking custodians for a logistics facility in Wixom, MI. This is a janitorial role requiring long periods of walking and physical work, including handling trash and cleaning both indoor and outdoor areas. Steel-toe or composite shoes are required, and safety procedures must be followed. Shifts are Wednesday-Saturday 4:00 a.m.

to 2:30 p.m. or Sunday-Wednesday 4:00 a.m. to 2:30 a.m., with pay at $15.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous janitor, custodian, cleaner or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling greater than 50 lbs.
• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals

Responsibilities

• Pickup and dispose of trash and debris throughout the jobsite, haul trash to dumpsters.
• Sweep and clean work areas throughout the project.
• Able to distinguish between trash/scrap and stored materials.
• Work in an organized manner completing areas as you go.
• Work in close proximity with other trades in a fast-paced environment.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
• This is a PHYSICALLY DEMANDING position with miles of walking and heavy lifting, including cleaning outside areas.

Seeking Custodians for logistics facility in Wixom, MI (Grand River/Napier Rd). This is a janitorial position that will require MILES of walking a day.

Overview:

• $15.50/hour
• steel-toe or composite shoes/boots required

Shifts:

• Schedules:
  • Wednesday-Saturday, 4a-2:30p
  • Sunday-Wednesday, 4a-2:30a

Essential Janitorial Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pick up and dispose of trash and debris throughout jobsite, haul trash to dumpsters
• Sweep and clean work areas throughout the project
• Able to distinguish between trash/scrap and stored materials
• Work in an organized manner completing areas as you go
• Work in close proximity with other trades in a fast-paced environment
• Other responsibilities as assigned
• This is a PHYSICALLY DEMANDING position. It entails A LOT of walking (miles a day) and includes emptying trashes (heavy lifting) and cleaning outside areas: Yard area, guard shack, smoke area, etc.

While janitorial is a good part of the services we offer, we also handle various other tasks. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Removing and Bailing Cardboard
• Moving and stacking Pallets
• Fork truck operation
• Need to be open to ALL tasks
