Job summary

Hui Huliau Defense Systems LLC in Honolulu, Hawaii, seeks a Custodian Supervisor to lead and perform custodial and janitorial services at Building 77. Description:

Position summary

Lead and perform custodial and janitorial services at Building 77. Serve as the on-site, designated point of contact for the Government (COR), direct the crew, run quality control, and personally perform cleaning and floor-care tasks. This is a working supervisor role.

Essential duties

• Supervise and schedule a 3-person custodial crew; assign daily, weekly, monthly, and semi-annual tasks (PWS 6.1 to 6.4).
• Serve as the on-site point of contact for the COR; receive and respond to service requests; keep the Government informed.
• Run the quality control program: inspect work against the standards, document deficiencies, and correct them.
• Perform hands‑on cleaning and floor care alongside the crew, including restrooms, offices, trash, and machine floor work.
• Coordinate installation access and badging; enforce conduct, safety, and security rules in a Restricted Area.
• Manage supplies and equipment; maintain the janitor closets and a two‑week supply inventory.

Position Requirements:

• US citizen with an active interim or final DoD Secret clearance (required).
• At least 3 years of custodial or janitorial experience, including 1 to 2 years in a lead or supervisory role, at a facility of comparable size and complexity.
• Working knowledge of floor care (strip, wax, burnish, machine scrub, carpet care) and commercial cleaning equipment.
• Able to read and apply cleaning schedules and quality standards; reliable and punctual.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, and use equipment for a full shift.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
