Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms and fixtures.
• Dust, clean, and polish furniture, doors, windows, partitions, woodwork, light fixtures and related surfaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, wax, and polish floors; shampoo carpets.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables.
• Operate power cleaning equipment (buffer, sweeper, steam cleaners).
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment, buildings and fixtures.
• Communicate professionally over two-way radio, telephone, and email.
• Assist in monitoring supplies and stocking locations.
• Maintain rapport with the public, airport tenants and other agencies.
• Adhere to Authority policies, procedures, and safety practices.

Essential Functions

• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and fixtures.
• Dusts, cleans and polishes furniture, doors, windows, partitions, woodwork, light fixtures and other related surfaces.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, waxes, polishes floors, and shampoos carpets.
• Disposes of trash and recyclable materials.
• Operates power cleaning equipment such as buffer, sweeper, and steam cleaning equipment.
• Performs some limited routine maintenance to equipment, buildings, and fixtures.
• Professionally communicate over two-way radio, telephone, and email.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring supplies and stocking locations.
• Maintains good rapport with the public, Airport tenants and other agencies.
• Adheres to the Authority and departmental policies and procedures as well as safe work practices, policies and procedures.
• Develops and maintains effective working relationships with other staff, public officials and general public.

Must- Have Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must wear uniforms provided (uniforms must be clean and presentable) and personal protective equipment.
• Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays when required.
• Successfully pass continual training, security and employment requirements
• Must possess acceptable English language skills to include speaking, reading, writing and comprehension.
• Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance; stoop, kneel and crouch or crawl.
• Must be able to use hands and fingers to type, handle bags, boxes, objects or controls.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift up to 99 pounds with assistance.
• Vision abilities include, with or without corrective lenses, close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Sufficient auditory ability, with or without audiological devices, to decipher telephone/radio communications, interact with the public and others, decipher radio communications, and hear alarms, including vehicle and other warning signals.
• Able to tolerate exposure to noise levels up to 90 decibels
• Able and willing to work in inclement weather, including extreme cold and warm temperatures.
