Job summary

Thebakeryoflouisville is seeking a part-time Custodian to support campus facilities in Louisville. The role involves routine cleaning, event setup, floor care, and coordinating various custodial tasks across multiple buildings.

Hours are Monday–Friday 1 pm–5 pm. Candidates should have a HS diploma, 2 years of related experience, and be able to work evenings and weekends for events. Sullivan University System is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years related experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Must be able to communicate via radio for instructions.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate cleaning and set-up for special events.
• Knowledge of applicable OSHA standards.
• Knowledge of applicable safety practices and procedures.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Conducts routes throughout the building offices to collect and dispose of trash.
• Aids with the set up and break down of all campus events.
• Moves/transports furniture and miscellaneous items for campus related events.
• Coordinates and schedules vacuuming of offices, hallways, and rooms as needed.
• Responsible for cleanliness of floors including mopping.
• Assists with custodial related special projects for campus as needed.
• Wipes down walls and whiteboards as needed.
• Clean bathrooms throughout the day and as needed.
• Follows instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
• Assists with custodial duties at other Sullivan University System locations as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

We are currently looking for a part-time Custodian. The Custodian is responsible for ensuring work is completed where assigned by all custodians in a timely fashion, as well as completing different jobs as assigned by the manager to include set ups for events, maintaining the floors of all buildings as required and the coordination of different projects relating to floors, restrooms, furniture, etc.
