Job summary

Verona Public Schools in Verona, New Jersey, is seeking a Part-Time Custodian to support cleaning and safety across our schools. The role requires availability evenings and weekends, with duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restroom disinfection, trash removal, restocking supplies, and basic room setup for events.

Black Seal/Boiler license is preferred; experience in a school setting is valued. Open until filled, open to rotating among Verona schools, with pension and PTO benefits.

Job description

Part Time Custodian - Black Seal/Boiler license preferred. Custodial experience in school setting preferred.

Position will be up to 29 hours a week. Must be available evenings and weekends. This position may rotate around all Verona schools.

Key Responsibilities: Performing cleaning duties like sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and common areas, emptying trash, and restocking supplies.Duties also involve window and furniture cleaning, basic equipment maintenance, and potentially setting up furniture for events.The role emphasizes maintaining a safe and orderly environment, adhering to safety guidelines, and reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards to a supervisor.
