The City of Raymore, MO is seeking a Recreation Facility Custodian responsible for cleaning and maintenance tasks in various facilities. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance or custodial work and a valid Driver’s License.
The Recreation Facility Custodian will perform various cleaning and maintenance, landscape, rental set up and take down, and other construction tasks in park and recreation buildings and facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED; supplemented by one (1) year of experience in maintenance, landscaping, custodial or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and be insurable to operate a city vehicle.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Position is subject to working holidays, weekends and evenings.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Mops, brooms, other powered and manual custodial equipment, and miscellaneous hand tools.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Tasks require the regular and sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and that generally involves lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds).
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near areas in which program participants are physically active with balls or equipment in motion. May require exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, temperature and noise extremes, heights, confined spaces, machinery, vibrations, electric currents, traffic hazards, bright/dim lights, toxic agents. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
