South Brunswick Public Schools is seeking a custodian to perform various custodial tasks to maintain a clean and safe learning environment, following directions from the Head Custodian/Principal. Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, sanitizing bathrooms and cafeterias, cleaning walkways, and snow removal; additional duties may be assigned by the building Head Custodian.

Custodial experience is preferred, with strong written and oral communication skills.

Description

Perform various custodial tasksas directed by Head Custodian/Principal to maintain a clean and safe learning environment, exercising prudent cost control measures in cooperation with school administration and district management. Tasks include, but not limited to, cleaning and dusting classrooms, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, cafeterias, walkways, snow removal, etc. Any other tasks assigned by building Head Custodian.

Experience

Custodial experience is preferred, especially in a school setting and ability to effectively communicate to others both orally and in writing.

Hours

3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Qualifications

• Applicants must obtain a Black Seal license within a year.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

2026 – 2027 Terms of Employment

• Base Salary: $54,250
• Employment Period: Twelve (12) Months
• Union Affiliation: SBSMA
