Job summary

Monticello Public Schools seeks a dedicated Custodian for Monticello Middle School, working 3:00 pm–11:30 pm, Monday–Friday. You’ll perform general cleaning and facility maintenance to keep classrooms and common areas safe and welcoming.

Required: High School Diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 50 pounds (occasionally 75–100), strong reliability, and good communication. Experience with diverse students and families is a plus. Background check and board approval required.

Custodial Opportunity with Monticello Schools. This position is located at the Monticello Middle School with the hours of 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm Monday - Friday

The duties of our Custodial staff will include:

General cleaning and maintainingstriving to keep facilities and grounds in good repair.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Hourly Pay Range

$21.05 - $26.93 per the current Custodial Master Agreement 2025-2027

Overtime Eligibility

All positions within the Custodial & Maintenance unit are eligible to elect and/or be delegated intermittent overtime assignments.

Employment with Monticello Public Schools is contingent upon a satisfactory pre-employment background check, approval of the school board, and verification of meeting qualifications listed above.

Selection Procedure

An Internal Custodial Union meeting will be held on Monday September 21st.
