Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking a Custodian Lead for Summit Academy in Mesa, AZ. This full-time, 40-hour position offers a second shift with shift pay of $0.35/hr and a base hourly rate of $19.89.

The role involves supervising custodial staff, maintaining school cleanliness and safety per district standards, and supporting various facility tasks. Drug/alcohol testing is required during probation for new hires.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months’ custodial experience.
• Working knowledge of custodial equipment, supplies, and proper cleaning procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise custodians assigned to school.
• Supervise and assist with diversified tasks (lighting, setups, opening/closing buildings) daily.
• Request supplies and equipment from district warehouse.
• Conduct frequent inspections of the school plant.
• Maintain site custodial payroll records and report to district custodial office.
• Maintain upkeep of school during summer and supervise summer cleanup.
• Perform other duties to ensure efficient operation.
