Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and reliable custodian to join our facilities team. This is a full-time, year-round position responsible for performing general maintenance and repair work to support the safe and efficient operation of school district buildings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance tasks individually or as part of a team.
• Maintain and care for district buildings.
• Safely operate maintenance machinery.
• Read and follow oral and written instructions accurately.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve department goals and meet project deadlines.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with staff and contractors.
• Perform duties in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined.
• Prior experience in general facilities maintenance preferred.
• Valid New Jersey Driver's License required.
• Black Seal License must be obtained within two years from the date of hire.
