Job summary

D&W Fine Pack is seeking a Custodian (Janitor) to maintain a clean and orderly office and manufacturing plant. This position reports to the Quality Manager and involves a rotating 12-hour shift schedule from 7:00 am to 7:15 pm with every other weekend off.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and janitorial experience, with the ability to read, write and speak English. Candidates should have moderate computer skills and be willing to follow verbal and written instructions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Previous janitorial experience preferred.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Moderate computer skills for basic record-keeping and communications.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain housekeeping of offices and office bathrooms.
• Clean employee bathrooms and canteens.
• Provide and stock sanitation supplies.
• Housekeep exterior perimeter of building.
• Take inventory and issue purchase orders for replenishment.
• Support SQF program compliance and complete required paperwork.
• Assist other workers with tasks as needed.
• Follow GMP practices and other quality procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

We have an immediate opportunity for a Custodian (Janitor). In this function, you will be responsible for keeping the office and manufacturing plant in clean and orderly condition by performing a variety of custodial and janitorial duties. This position reports to the Quality Manager.

Shift Shifts

7:00 am-7:15 pm (B shift). Rotating 12-hour shifts with every other weekend off!

Safety

• Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines
• Know emergency procedures and what to do in the event of power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, etc.
• Wears and utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Informs supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incident immediately

Task

• Housekeeping of offices and office bathroom facilities
• Cleaning of employee bathroom facilities
• Cleaning of canteens
• Provide/Stock necessary needs for sanitation purposes
• Housekeeping of outside perimeter of building
• Take inventory of supplies and creates purchase order as needed for replenishment
• Support company Food Safety efforts through commitment and compliance to SQF standard practices and policies. Complete daily required paperwork to ensure SQF program compliance.
• Assists other workers with specific chores as requested
• Follow plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMP's
• Perform other duties as assigned
