County College of Morris is seeking a Custodian I (Evening) to perform cleaning duties across campus facilities. The role includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, changing light bulbs, and restroom maintenance, with duties extending to entrances and exterior areas.
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent (desirable) and 0-6 months custodial experience. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 5:00 pm–1:30 am, with duties that include event setup and snow/ice removal as needed.
Job Summary Performs a wide variety of routine cleaning duties at campusbuildings which include but are not limited to sweeping, mopping,vacuum cleaning, dusting tasks & changing of light bulbs.Maintains rest rooms which includes cleaning of walls, sinks,fixtures, toilets & mirrors. Replenishes towels, tissues &soap dispensers. Empties garbage receptacles. Performs recyclingduties when necessary. Cleans entrances to buildings. Includesglass on entrance doors & exterior areas to buildings. Policesareas around buildings for litter. Performs work orders assigned bythe Custodial Supervisor which are associated with assisting theday custodial staff with set ups of special events & collegeactivities. Clears snow & ice from entrance ways, walkways,patios & steps. Shovels or sweeps areas & applies calciumchloride. Performs other duties as assigned.
High school graduate or equivalency desirable
0-6 months experience in custodial maintenance
Monday – Friday 5:00 pm – 1:30 am
