Custodian/Housekeeper – 2^nd Shift – Asheville - $17.96/hr.

PrideStaff is currently recruiting for a Custodian/Housekeeper for 2nd Shift at a local healthcare provider.

Job Summary: Responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness within all assigned areas which includes offices, laboratories, training room restrooms, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform environmental service duties that promote a safe, clean, sanitary and aesthetically pleasing environment.
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the campus including labs, offices, restrooms and breakrooms.
• Adhere to a work plan and schedule of routine day-to-day cleaning.
• Perform special detail cleanings and projects on a regular basis as assigned.
• Perform duties in a manner that is least disruptive and harmoniously with the needs of staff and supervisors of all departments.
• Maintain a neat and orderly janitors’ room; ensure cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked.
• Report safety hazards and deficiencies to facility staff.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance such as replacing light fixtures or unclogging pipes.
• Knowledge of safety hazards with cleaning solutions and proper utilization of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
• Wash windows.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cleaning experience is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and thorough.
