Responsibilities

1. Perform custodial and grounds work, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, window cleaning, etc., in residential units for turnover and common areas.
2. Perform light repairs such as fixing windows, painting, replacing light bulbs, and other minor repairs as directed.
3. Assist in apartment move-in and move-out inspections and coordinate with the Maintenance or Community Manager for annual inspections.
4. Understand water and gas meter cut-offs, sewer clean-outs, and related safety procedures, operating within OSHA standards.
5. Inspect buildings and common areas, pick up trash, pull weeds, and assist with maintenance repairs as needed.
6. Ensure storage areas and entrances are secure and well-lit.
7. Maintain effective communication with residents, contractors, and property management.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Custodial work experience preferred but not required.
2. High School Diploma preferred.
3. Willingness to work in various areas as needed.
4. Personable, trustworthy, and safety-conscious.
5. Ability to read, speak, and understand work instructions and safety notices in English.

Working Conditions

Exposure to dust, fumes, solvents, variable lighting, and noise. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.

Salary Range

$14.00-$16.00 per hour, based on location, skills, experience, and training.
