Job summary

American Facility Services Inc. is seeking a dependable cleaning associate for the Marietta, GA site. You will perform essential morning openings, inspect facilities, and clean offices, lobbies, restrooms and classrooms, maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for students and staff.

The role requires punctuality, neat appearance, wearing ID, and adherence to dress code and policies. Training is provided; you will report to supervision and may assist with events and small setup tasks.

Responsibilities

• Open the building each morning
• Inspect previous night’s cleaning and correct deficiencies.
• Inspect the building exterior for possible unauthorized entrance and/or vandalism.
• Clean the main entrance area to include cleaning the glass, carpet/mats, floors, and dust any furniture and fixtures.
• Clean the office to include cleaning and vacuuming floors and dusting furniture and fixtures.
• Clean the media center/library to include vacuuming and cleaning floors and dusting furniture and fixtures.
• Inspect and keep all restrooms stocked with supplies.
• Unload delivery trucks and deliver boxes as needed.
• Change light bulbs as needed.
• Replace ceiling tiles as needed.
• Install pencil sharpeners and picture hangers as needed.
• Assemble and move furniture.
• Set up for school/building events as needed.
• Clean water fountains daily.
• Other miscellaneous items as deemed necessary by the school principal, supervisor, and area manager.
• Clean technology center and gym.
• Complete any other tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.

Areas Serviced:

General offices, private offices, lobbies, lounges, kitchen / break rooms, coffee areas, washrooms, restrooms,
stairways, corridors, computer rooms, conference rooms and mailrooms (all common areas). No security access
areas unless pre-approved. Schools include hallways and classrooms.
