Job summary

BAC is seeking a dedicated custodial worker to perform custodial duties at our designated site in Winston-Salem, NC. The role reports to the site custodial leadership team and follows contracted cleaning methods. Responsibilities include cleaning offices and restrooms, removing trash, stocking supplies, disposing hazardous waste, and assisting with event setups. A background check, pre-employment drug test, and legal authorization to work in the U.S. are required.

Qualifications

• No minimum experience required.
• Must pass a background screening for access to the work areas.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial work according to contracted cleaning methods.
• Cleaning responsibilities include removal/disposal of trash, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping.
• Clean restrooms including mopping, disinfecting, mirrors, partitions, toilets, and sinks.
• Stock paper and soap supplies.
• Properly dispose any hazardous waste material.
• Maintain supplies and equipment under established procedures.
• May set up/break down tables and chairs for special events.
• Perform other custodial tasks as requested.

Physical Requirements

Requirements will vary depending on the assigned tasks. This position does require the following: repetitive lifting, push/pull, carrying, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and prolonged standing. Will involve lifting/moving up to 40 pounds. Reasonable accommodations, when practical, can be offered to accomplish the above requirements

Safety And Environmental Requirements

• Tasks are regularly performed inside without exposure to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., dirt, heat, cold, rain, fumes).
• Will need to use any personal protective (safety) equipment as designated properly and consistently.
• Involves exposure to hazardous materials (i.e., cleaning solutions and bio-waste hazards).
• Required inoculations and training provided by the company.
• Some tasks may be performed independently with little supervision.
