Job summary

Verde Clean is seeking a Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This floater role offers a flexible schedule and varied work locations to meet coverage needs.

Responsibilities include cleaning, restocking supplies, basic floor care, ensuring safety, and delivering courteous customer service to staff and visitors. Prior janitorial experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of janitorial or cleaning experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and knowledge of safety protocols.
• Must be able to work independently and interact courteously with others.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and counters. Clean and disinfect restrooms.
• Restocking Supplies: Keep restrooms stocked with essentials like toilet paper, soap, and paper towels; monitor supplies.
• Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Safety & Security: Identify safety hazards and report them to the supervisor; maintain a secure environment.
• Customer Service: Provide courteous, helpful assistance to staff, visitors, and team members.

Position Details

• Schedule: Flexible schedule required. This is a floater role and work hours/locations will vary depending on coverage needs.
• Pay: $18/hr

What You'll Do:

As a Custodian, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming space for everyone. Key responsibilities include:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and counters. You'll also clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
• Restocking Supplies: Keep restrooms stocked with essentials like toilet paper, soap, and paper towels. Ensure dispensers are filled and monitor supplies across the facility.
• Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Safety & Security: Identify safety hazards and report them to the supervisor. Maintain a secure and safe environment for building occupants.
• Customer Service: Provide courteous, helpful assistance to staff, visitors, and fellow team members, creating a positive and welcoming environment.

We're seeking someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and a team player. To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Experience: At least one year of janitorial or cleaning experience preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skills: Ability to use cleaning equipment and knowledge of safety protocols. Must be able to work independently and interact courteously with others.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, and lift up to 25 lbs. Must be comfortable using basic cleaning tools and equipment.
