Job summary

Verde Clean is seeking a Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This floater role means hours and locations vary with coverage needs, and the pay is $18/hr. The position emphasizes safety, sustainability, and community impact.

Responsibilities include cleaning, disinfecting restrooms, restocking supplies, and providing courteous customer service to staff and visitors. A strong safety mindset and independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

• At least one year of janitorial or cleaning experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and knowledge of safety protocols.
• Must be able to work independently and interact courteously with others.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and counters.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
• Restocking supplies: keep restrooms stocked with essentials like toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
• Identify safety hazards and report them to the supervisor. Maintain a secure and safe environment for building occupants.
• Provide courteous, helpful assistance to staff, visitors, and fellow team members.

• Schedule: Flexible schedule required. This is a floater role and work hours/locations will vary depending on coverage needs.
• Pay: $18/hr

What You'll Do: As a Custodian, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming space for everyone. Key responsibilities include:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and counters. You'll also clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
• Restocking Supplies: Keep restrooms stocked with essentials like toilet paper, soap, and paper towels. Ensure dispensers are filled and monitor supplies across the facility.
• Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Safety & Security: Identify safety hazards and report them to the supervisor. Maintain a secure and safe environment for building occupants.
• Customer Service: Provide courteous, helpful assistance to staff, visitors, and fellow team members, creating a positive and welcoming environment.
