Job summary

Verde Clean is seeking a Day Porter to help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming spaces across our facilities. You will handle cleaning tasks, restocking supplies, floor care, and safety-related duties to support a positive environment.

Schedule is Tuesday and Friday, 4pm to 9pm, with pay at $17/hour. Verde Clean is a minority-owned company prioritizing environmental protection and community well-being, plus paid volunteer time off and a family-friendly culture.

Qualifications

• At least one year of janitorial or cleaning experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and knowledge of safety protocols.
• Must be able to work independently and interact courteously with others.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, wipe desks and surfaces, and disinfect restrooms.
• Restocking supplies: Replenish restroom essentials and monitor dispensers across the facility.
• Floor care: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors as needed.
• Safety & security: Identify hazards and report them; maintain a safe environment for occupants.
• Customer service: Provide courteous, helpful assistance to staff, visiteurs, and team members.

What You'll Do:

As a Custodian, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming space for everyone. Key responsibilities include:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and counters. You'll also clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.


• Restocking Supplies: Keep restrooms stocked with essentials like toilet paper, soap, and paper towels. Ensure dispensers are filled and monitor supplies across the facility.


• Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.


• Safety & Security: Identify safety hazards and report them to the supervisor. Maintain a secure and safe environment for building occupants.


• Customer Service: Provide courteous, helpful assistance to staff, visitors, and fellow team members, creating a positive and welcoming environment.

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and a team player. To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Experience: At least one year of janitorial or cleaning experience preferred.


• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.


• Skills: Ability to use cleaning equipment and knowledge of safety protocols. Must be able to work independently and interact courteously with others.


• Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, and lift up to 25 lbs. Must be comfortable using basic cleaning tools and equipment.
