Job summary

Tucson Unified School District seeks custodial staff to perform cleaning duties in district buildings and schools in alignment with county health standards and district guidelines. The role requires English reading, writing, and comprehension, plus prior custodial experience.

Two PM shifts are available; these positions are 1.0 FTE, 8 hours per day, with a 12-month work calendar. FBI background checks and immunization proof are among pre-employment requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• 1 year or more of custodial experience

Requirements Prior To Start Date

• FBI fingerprint background check
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
• Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and 50lb. lift test
• Mandatory TUSD New-Hire Custodial Training

COMMENTS

Effective: 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR

Location: Tucson High Magnet School 6th St. & Euclid Area

FTE: 1.0 - 8 hours per day

Work Calendar: 12 month

Two (2) Positions Available - PM SHIFTS

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
