Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is seeking a Custodian to perform cleaning duties in assigned areas of district buildings, aligned with county health department standards and Custodial Services Department guidelines.

Location: Utterback Middle School, 36th St. & Campbell Area. Schedule: PM shift, 4 hours per day, 12-month calendar. Applicants should have custodial experience, be able to lift 50 lb, and complete New-Hire Custodial Training.

Qualifications

• 1 year of custodial experience or more.
• Speak, read, and write in English.
• Comprehend graphic and oral instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties in assigned areas in accordance with county health department standards and Custodial Services Department guidelines.
• Follow post-offer/start requirements and safety protocols as specified by the district.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in district buildings in alignment with school calendar and PM shift expectations.

SUMMARY

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 1 year or more of custodial experience


• Speak, read, and write in English


• Comprehend graphic/oral instructions in English

REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO START DATE

• FBI fingerprint background check


• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization


• Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and 50lb. lift test


• Mandatory TUSD New-Hire Custodial Training

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
