Job summary

GRBS, Inc. is seeking a Custodian Building Lead for Byron Center Public Schools in Byron Center, MI. This full-time, 2nd shift role supports a safe and clean learning environment.

The position runs Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with a 40-hour work week. Lead and coordinate custodial activities, perform general cleaning tasks, and collaborate with staff to meet facility needs. Applicants must be 18+, have a valid ID, reliable transportation, and meet Michigan public school

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid ID required.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Michigan Public School requirements apply; individuals with theft, violence, or drug related backgrounds will not qualify for employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate custodial activities.
• Perform general custodial duties including cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
• Ensure all assigned areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Collaborate with team members and school staff to meet facility needs and schedules.
• Operate custodial equipment safely and efficiently.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service to staff, students, and visitors.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday
