GRBS, Inc. is seeking a Custodian Building Lead for Byron Center Public Schools in Byron Center, MI. The role is full-time, 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM), offering 40 hours per week and a pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

The building lead will supervise custodial activities, ensure cleanliness and safety, and collaborate with staff to meet facility needs. Ideal candidates are dependable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and supportive team players with reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid ID required.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Michigan Public School requirements apply (no theft, violence, or drug-related backgrounds).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate custodial activities.
• Perform general custodial duties including cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
• Ensure all assigned areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Collaborate with team members and school staff to meet facility needs and schedules.
• Operate custodial equipment safely and efficiently.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service to staff, students, and visitors.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• 3:00PM - 11:30PM
• 40 hours per week
