Central Baptist Church, located in Johnson City, Tennessee, is a church affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention in America (SBC) and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF).

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Custodian and Maintenance Associate at Central Baptist Church in Johnson City, TN. A CBC Custodian and Maintenance Associate plays an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of church facilities, ensuring all church activities run smoothly and the building is clean. In addition to regular building maintenance functions, the church custodian provides direct support to pastors and leaders with set up and maintenance of events, rooms, and equipment. This position works closely with the Main Level Custodian and Facilities Director as a team to promptly and correctly finish all tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial services and maintenance work
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment
• Basic repair and maintenance skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus

Pay

$15/hour

Job type

Full time, 40 hours per week, no overtime

M-F, 8:00-5:00 PM
