Job Skills / Requirements

General Cleaners are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and general upkeep of assigned areas. Duties include a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure the facility remains clean and sanitary.

Essential Functions

• Sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, carpet extraction, floor stripping and waxing
• Trash and recycling removal
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and locker rooms
• Polishing areas within 10 feet of entryways
• Washing windows
• Removing snow and ice
• Cleaning desks, walls, furniture, doors, entry and interior glass, countertops, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures
• Performing any additional duties as directed by custodial supervisor

• Background check required

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred, but not required
• Previous cleaning experience is a plus

Physical and Working Conditions

Employees must meet physical requirements such as reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally. Extensive walking and standing are required, along with working in various temperatures. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified individuals with disabilities.
