Year Round: 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM (Monday through Friday)

$20.77/hr (Grade 1) after 90 day probationary period.
(during probationary period, the wage rate will be $2.00 less per hour)
High school education or equivalent. One year's experience in janitorial routines. Physical ability to perform assigned duties which includes the ability to walk, bend and stand for long periods of time, climb stairs and ladders, crawl in confined spaces, shovel, work at a minimum height of 15 to 20 feet above ground, lift and carry objects weighing a minimum of 100 lbs (with assistance) and the ability to work with a variety of cleaning, snow removal and lawn care equipment and products, and construction/maintenance related adhesives and products.
Assist the Head Custodian in maintaining the school building and grounds in a clean, orderly and safe condition. Sweep and mop floors in assigned building areas; wash windows and glass partitions; check and change light bulbs as needed; assist with the moving of furniture and equipment; perform minor emergency repairs; routinely maintain and have a working knowledge of all required janitorial equipment; aide in emergency cleanups; report problems observed in and around the building such as vandalism to the Custodian; assist with snow removal near building entrances when required; assist in the cafeteria operations daily; perform any other job related duties as may be assigned by the Head Custodian or Plant Operations Supervisor.
