Job summary

Central Bucks High School East is seeking a Custodian for the 2nd shift with full benefits. The role includes cleaning classrooms and common areas, trash removal, floor care, and disinfecting lavatories at Central Bucks High School East for the 2026-2027 school year.

The position runs 3:00pm–11:30pm with a half-hour unpaid meal break; hourly compensation is $21.15. Experience with commercial cleaning equipment and snow removal is required.

Qualifications

• Must have experience operating commercial cleaning equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Able to perform snow removal with shovel or snow blower.
• Must follow chemical dilution and cleaning chemical procedures.
• Available for 3:00pm–11:30pm shift with a 30-minute unpaid meal.

Responsibilities

COMPENSATION: $21.15 p/hr

HOURS: 3:00pm-11:30pm 1/2-hour unpaid meal

DESCRIPTION: This job involves a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure a hygienic and safe environment. Key responsibilities include collecting and discarding trash, maintaining floors through sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and spot cleaning, and thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting lavatory areas. You will be tasked in cleaning glass surfaces and mirrors, participating in group cleaning projects, and maintaining furniture and fixtures. Additionally, the job includes assisting with furniture arrangement, responding to inclement weather conditions by removing snow and salting, performing security checks, and offering assistance for our outdoor sporting events as needed. Other duties may be assigned as needed by supervisors or managers.

REQUIREMENTS: Ability to properly use all types of commercial vacuum cleaners, stripping machines, floor scrubbers, available for snow removal (ability to use shovel & snow blower), and any special tools or equipment assigned to perform duties. Must be able to follow standard procedures for diluting chemicals, floor finishes and use of cleaning chemicals.
