The IU Northwest Facilities Services maintains the physical environment and provides services to support the University in achieving excellence in education and public service. We promote well-being through an attractive, convenient environment conducive to learning, ensuring buildings and grounds are safe, clean, and functional.
Located in metropolitan Northwest Indiana, IU Northwest is approximately 30 miles southeast of Chicago and 10 miles from Indiana Dunes National Park, serving around 3,500 degree-seeking students and 1,800 dual credit students. It is recognized as a minority and Hispanic-serving institution.
Education: High school knowledge or equivalent.
Work Experience: At least 6 months custodial experience in an educational or public environment.
This role requires physical mobility, operation of machinery, and safety awareness, including handling hazardous materials. Availability during inclement weather is necessary.
Location: IU Northwest Campus, Gary, Indiana.
Salary: $15.00/hour.
Monday - Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM Central Time.
