DESCRIPTION: Lead Custodian- 2nd Shift (CM) Initial Location: EGHS 40 hrs. Effective: May 29, 2025

SALARY: Grade III, CMS32, Step 1, $29.01. Salary schedule is listed in the CMA agreement linked here.

ASSIGNMENT: 12 Month

General Responsibilities
  • Perform as a working shift leader of assigned custodians, and perform assigned custodial duties.
  • Provide necessary direction for the custody and care of the facility to maintain a safe, secure, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient educational environment.
  • Ensure monitoring and operation of all major building systems and related equipment.
Qualifications
  • Maintained regular attendance with no occurrences of attendance abuse during the previous two years.
  • Effective communication skills with students, staff, and the public.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. frequently and 80 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work from scaffolding and lifts.
  • Demonstrated leadership and knowledge of cleaning procedures.
  • Experience in minor building maintenance and system checks.
  • Completion of a recognized supervision and custodial methods program.
