Job summary

Southwest Allen County Metropolitan School District seeks an evening Custodian to perform general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds. You will help maintain equipment and provide custodial assistance to students, staff and visitors as needed.

The position is 12 months with full benefits; hours are 3-11pm with a $0.15 shift differential. Overtime may be required due to activities or weather. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning and custodial duties desirable.
• Ability to operate hand tools and cleaning equipment such as floor machines and vacuums.
• Must be able to lift 10 lb regularly, 25 lb frequently and 50 lb occasionally; 50‑lb lift test required.

Qualifications

Knowledge of cleaning and related custodial duties is desirable. Demonstrated ability to use hand tools, machines, and equipment such as floor machines, vacuums, etc., is desirable. Must be able to lift, pull or push 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally. A 50-pound lift test will be required. Must be able to communicate effectively with students, staff and the general public. Must be able to get along with others in a team situation.
