Job summary

Montana Technological University is seeking a reliable Third Shift Custodian to keep campus clean, safe, and welcoming. The role is full-time, night shift with hours 9:00 pm to 5:30 am, Sunday through Thursday, offering a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance and retirement contributions.

Typical duties include cleaning offices, labs, classrooms, restrooms, snow removal, and maintaining building appearance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow written and oral communications and solve problems during the cleaning process.
• Be able to properly lift 30 to 60-lbs from ground level to a height of 4’-6” and be able to carry 30-lbs for a maximum distance of 30-ft with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Job Description

• Follow oral and written instructions.
• Solve problems encountered during cleaning process.
• Work alone and on occasion as part of a team.

• Third shift position working 9 pm to 5:30 am, Sunday through Thursday.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in institutional/commercial custodial work such as waxing floors.
• Working knowledge of proper cleaning methods, procedures and cleaning machines in a safe and efficient manner.
• Working knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) for all cleaning products used.

Physical Demands
